I am a Consultant Biometicist which means I am an expert in studying Natural Systems, identifying and then modelling them. At Bath University in its Centre for Biomimetic and Natural Technologies I took a Biology Project and computerised a process: identification of a simple shaped challenge to 3d technology and development, namely a hook of micron dimensions and sequence its electronic imaging and forming without a casting or molding, such at everything was electronically linked. In this process, against the background of South African challenge to the patent laws to manufacture cheap Hiv retrovirals in India supported by Cuba Brazil and India and with Russia and China silent it meant that I as a South African designer working on Patenting from Nature that I be denied because of all the attention i drew and their acknowledgment of the predicament as capitalists assaulted me from all sides. It becomes apparent that some secrets have leaked over the years on the Web. This Patent matter becomes a matter of demonstrating that a process must be demonstrated to have been worked upon. This is important in the AI world of design and patenting as is the resolution of ownership. This patent is the work of my PhD and should possibly have been hidden but such was the bearing brought upon me by the University of Bath because I was not a church going athlete. I had my car burnt out, i was nearly murdered, i attended many political meetings and demonstrations including Make Poverty History in Edinburgh which was number 26…this all started out in pure fear as I thwarted the war department of Anne Widdecombe Conservative on her own turf that is Bath or HMS Bristol.
I had Bill Gates all over me after the daily contents of my laptop from a base in Bath and I had Navy all over me too as I survived attempted hit after hit by MI5 as things were set up for my future career.
I was working on my Ph.D 2002-2005 at the Centre for Biomimetic and Natural Technologies at 5 Star Bath University and this is the product here. A study of a fundamental test shape and complete a program of patenting this natural shape so it could be numerically/electronically controlled in a closed system. Considerable resistance was met through local green protesters with Biblical ideals and the pressure from within as I contemplated a new form of patenting when conditions became too extreme but this is a summation of what I set out to do – my research opened doors I had not expected and it was a question of digesting and ruminating upon the matter before the final score was settled. This is about Patenting from Nature and the challenges it presented both philosophical and religious that is meta physical. This is about ownership and patenting in a computer age of artificial intelligence in a design space and writing in the face of green and churchlike mason ideals.
But I delved and I found something sinister here in Bath. A haven for British male off the books terrorists.
And a deliverate attempt to deliver a masonic statement to a war or outburst in Israel. With covid 19 suspects all suddenly missing from Bath. And Biomimetics delivering a South African solution at wits. In 2018.
I have published 3 papers in a Springer-Open peer reviewed journal, the Journal of Robotics and Biomimetics and the papers are listed in the menu bar above. The first is a BIOMIMETICS paper in that it contains a free body diagram and force analysis. The next two venture into describing an automated hands off process of identification scanning and reproduction without former or mold.
All three papers have subsequently been published in the reference book Advances in Biomimetic Robotics.
